Welcome!

The Fall Meeting is expected to draw a crowd of over 16,000 geophysicists from around the world. The Fall Meeting provides an opportunity for researchers, teachers, students, and consultants to present and review the latest issues affecting the Earth, the planets, and their environments in space. This meeting will cover topics in all areas of Earth and space sciences.

Abstract Submissions are Open

Abstract Central is now open — you may submit your abstract online. View details on submissions, software & policies.

The deadline to submit an abstract is 03 September 2009 – 2359 Eastern Daylight Time.

Late submissions cannot be accepted.

New for 2009

Abstract Software

New abstract submission software, Abstract Central, is coming to AGU in time for Fall Meeting. Abstract Central will provide a secure, complete solution for abstract submission as well as program itinerary creation which can be downloaded to your mobile electronic devices. A customer call center will also be available to guide you along the way with any questions.

Student Travel Grants

Limited number of grants for partial funding for students who are first authors and presenters of a poster or oral presentation. Support is primarily provided by donation from AGU members. Read requirements and fill out an application.

Visa Information

Visa information is now available — please see the travel section for details. A Letter of Invitation may be needed for those who are applying for a Visa to attend the Fall Meeting.
